I also signed Sage up for dance at the rec center. This is the same class and teacher that inspired Emery back in her first days of dance. How could I not give Sage the same opportunity to run around with other 2 year olds and pretend to learn dance? Plus, cousin Haven is in the class so it is super fun.
Their first day was pretty much pure entertainment. Sage is crazy and super friendly. She was so cute and excited running up to all these new friends in her class giving hugs and inviting them to play ring-around-the-rosies with her. She spent most of the class hanging upside down and influencing the other girls to follow suit and not pay attention to the teacher. We are so in trouble with this child.

Aunt Liz took way better pics and blogged about it weeks ago so please go here to see.
And here is a video showing the pure chaos and fun this class is.
Back to Emery and her new soccer adventure. I feel like I have finally made it as a mom now that I have a kid in soccer. We are lucky to have a bunch of friends on the team and her old preschool teacher is assistant coach. Emery was really excited at her practices. At the first practice it was freezing and she kept her hands in her pocket almost the entire time - at the second, it was 90 degrees and Em ended up just sitting on the field while all the kids ran around her. Good times.

Then we went to the game on Saturday (40 min away at 8am). Our sweet Emery wasn't so happy to be dragged out of bed and I am going to blame that for her bum mood the rest of the morning. Once the game started the unthinkable happened. The scary ref (really just a nice teenage boy) told her she was running the wrong way. Emery cried and pouted for the next 45 min.
After much consoling and a little snack with the team Emery made it back in the game for the last 2 min.
I think the real trick that got her happy again was A) Nash pretending his arms were cut off and hidden in his shirt and B) bringing over some of her best girl friends (Reagan) over from the other half of the team (they split the team in half and had them play 2 games) so it was a girl power team.Or maybe it was her awesome cheerleaders.
So we are having fun with our new adventures. Hopefully, next weeks game will go better and Sage will not crack her head for hanging on the bar at dance.
Funny side note 1: I bought Emery some soccer shorts on Friday for the game. Put them on Sat. morning and they fell straight to the floor. She has the tiniest bum. So, we resorted to some 3T swim shorts. Then Aunt Liz went to Walmart and found some little black shorts for $1 that she thought would fit Emery. They did, they are size 18 Months.
Funny side note 2: If you notice in the background of the last picture of Haven and Sage, Uncle Steve is busting a gut. We are pretty sure this is the moment that Nash attempted to kick the ball in and tripped on it. Little kids soccer is the best.
