How we met and fell in love. Perfect post for Bri-Bri and Adi relating to a spot long-overdue on either of their blogs. I've known Brian his entire life; I've known Alison a few months prior to their wedding, so feel qualified to post this link as a close-to-perfect depiction of what their courting days must have been like: the shy, demure, reticent Alison, attracted to the bold, manly, and rugged handsome-ness of Brian. The facial expressions catch the essence of their initial feelings of love and devotion (which have evolved from early stage romantic love, to a love of maturity and permanence), even though the faces are Asian. Asian faces are a perfect tie-in, byw, to this theme because Bri-Bri returned with honor from that most Asian of countries, China (Hong Kong). This awesome video even shows how modern romance is facilitated through today's technology, as the enraptured couple communicates their feelings through texting while standing next to each other at the UVSC library. Please take special note of the scene early in the video when Alison walks up to the outside roof of the UVSC hall of flags building, and finally releases those pent up emotions in a burst of bliss, as she clasps her hands together and placing them over her heart, hopes against hope that her love for the one who passed the Nevada Bar on his first try will be reciprocated, a clear expression of nascent love. Then there's Bri-Bri, typically and determinedly stoic, but unable to conceal his feelings as pure happiness exudes from his every pore. (Special note to those still dating: notice how the romance consists of knowing glances, quiet walks, silent text messaging, and notice also the absence of bodily lusts and how there are no kisses given out like pretzels and robbed of sacredness. This is true courtship, as it was intended by those who know). Get busy enjoying a trip back in time as we envision what those days might have looked like, starting in 2000 and evolving into eternal marriage May 10, 2002. Try to go back in time with me as we see what those initial heart flutters must have been like:

He forgot to mention the similarity in you of how you bow to everyone walking past.
And, um, yes ... he very much needs his own blog! Where on earth did he find that video anyway?
good old brad when he's manic! you made a cute asian hottie.
Alison, I just read your post about Emery's eye. My son Trevor has a lazy eye too. We realized it about a year ago. He was almost 6. I know that he is a lot older than Emery so it will be totally different but I had the same fears as you. He got his glasses in the middle of kindergarten and I was so afraid that kids would tease him. They didn't and they still haven't. He has a great personality and is friends with everyone and I think that helps. Trevor's class got a new student and Trevor came home and was so excited that she wore glasses too. And now another girl in his class just got glasses. So its fun for him to have kids with that in common with him. He did have one little girl in our ward say she didn't think he was cute any more because he wears glasses, but she's kind of a brat anyways. Her dad is our eye doctor. They make some super cute frames now so they don't have to look dorky. My friend always tells me that glasses are an accessory. He got use to wearing them fast and he just broke them for the first time. So he's wearing not as cute ones while his are getting fixed. The hardest thing is keeping them clean. Anyways, I just thought that might help.
